Thought this would take a minute to find out on google but not getting far.
Have a fridge and a separate small freezer plugged into a multi plug that goes into the socket.. Does the Tapo p110 have to go directly into the socket. If so i can't monitor the freezer on it's own. It's the only socket in the pantry. If so could they be put onto extension lead ,  or is that the same.

It'll be fine on an extension lead.  The use of high power appliances with extension leads is not recommended because of the risk of overheating the socket and plug.  However, a freezer or fridge should be OK.

The Tapo can go into a multi plug but it's a bit chunky. Might not fit at the side.

Good to know. Just to be clear though , i want to see how much energy my freezer is using. The extension lead would be taking the fridge and the separate freezer. The extension lead would then go into the socket. If i plug the Tapo into the extension lead and then the freezer lead into it , would it monitor just the freezer.

Tapo P110s are slim enough, so you can plug two in to adjacent sockets on a multi plug.
