Tsk - he's enough to give solicitors a bad name.
  • I was reading a previous thread about purchasing the freehold your home. Regardless of the amount of time left in Sheffield there is currently someone called Andrew Milne a solicitor based in Wales and London who is purchasing peppercorn leasehold rents and then sending threatening letters to vacate homes or demanding large sums of money to purchase the freehold from him. I learned about this from the excellent local newsletter The Tribune . The area he is targeting seems to be the North West of Sheffield but who knows if he will broaden his scope.  Im currently trying to contact Shenstone property services but the phone is always unanswered even though I call between 10 am anc noon. Im going to email them and will post the reply later.
