eBay selling rules

I found that selling item was marked as fully described and No returns however buyer stated not as described so eBay advised me that I had to leave with buyer and give him his money back or pick it up and take back so if a buyer decides that he does not want an item after all then he just need say not as described and despite stating no return you have to do so
complete nonsense and meaningless statement in my opinion
in my case the item was fully described and if buyer had been able to read instructions he could have operated the white goods correctly so I wasted 3 hours and petrol to show him how to operate goods
marketplace best for local goods rather than eBay?

For large items then I would definitely use marketplace, get buyer to collect and take cash when they were happy with their item. However anecdotally, having ‘no returns’ enabled often forces a buyer to go down a SNAD route if they change their mind.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
