Do I have a chance to fight or should i pay fine?

Hi
Need a quick advice please.

I parked outside the marked bays at a shopping centre. Parking was free, but one of my car’s wheels was slightly over the line and into the next bay. I still received a fine by PCM( parking control management ltd)

I appealed to them, but my appeal was rejected. They offered me to pay £60 within 14 days but i was away so didn’t see the letter until it passed deadline so now fine is £100 or they offered to appeal at IAS.

can I do anything about this? Or should i just quietly pay the fine as i cannot get into hassle of court etc. is there any possibility if they can reduce it back to £60?

Any advice would be appreciated

Definitely not a fine,  Magistrates issuefines,  its just an invoice from a private parking company claimant for the alleged breach of the parking contract on that private property

    Ignore them

    No paying

But they’re saying if I don’t pay £100 now they will forward my case to recover money via debt recovery procedure.

Not sure what you think the 'debt recovery procedure' is. It's letters trying to scare you into paying. It's all they can do, they have no authority to enforce anything else on you.
Suggest you read NEWBIES Announcement thread particularly POST 4 - Debt Letters.

That's like threatening you with a worthless piece of paper,  several in fact,  from powerless debt collectors

Try asking for advice on the free traffic law advice site, www.ftla.uk.  I think the defence might be de minimis, but they are the experts.

Obviously. This is not new: it is already explained in the NEWBIES thread and in the official MSE Guide to Private Parking tickets.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

    They don't need to.
