Online purchase from Novaglo

Hi. I saw a general Ad for a menopausal ring which stated "The tiny ring ..." which I purchased for my daughter. It arrived yesterday, is huge and solid, also it was marked as a man's ring.  I cannot find details for Novaglo and they have a Klantenservice Novaglo which responded saying that I can return it but have to pay the postage - somewhere abroad, possibly China, I cannot trace the company.  They've stated it is adjustable, which it isn't and I've said a) the item is not as advertised and b) it is not adjustable.  The magnetic studs inside are supposed to be the key to the reason for the ring but these can't make contact with the finger since it is an open-ended ring and does not fit.  I paid by credit card but would my Bank be able to get a refund from the Company?  The cost was £19.95.  Thanks.

Once you have proof it's been delivered back to the company. Sending it to china will not be cheap and most the time it disappears when it hits the Chinese border so you can never prove they got it back.

Time to do your checks is before buying it unfortunately.

I think you're going to have to take the hit on this one.  Maybe recoup some of the cost by selling it on eBay?

Magnets in a ring will not provide anything other than a placebo benefit for menopause symptoms, no matter what adverts might say.  It belongs in the same bin as homeopathy, crystals, astrology and other such mumbo-jumbo.  Consult a proper medical professional rather than rely on quackery gimmicks.

The UK search for Novaglo redirects to a Netherlands website which appears to be a scam….no ‘about us’ or ‘contact us’.

You've fallen for a double scam. Little chance of a refund from a scammy company, and a ring that will do nothing for menopause symptoms but may turn a finger green.
  • Thank you all.  I should have known as it's all in Dutch!  In case anyone else sees the Ad, it is a Company called Feroforce in the Netherlands but it's registered a the UK Companies House with an address in Covent Garden and an email address in the Netherlands.  They tried to block my email today but it did go through.  Thanks again.
