Debenhams - wrong delivery address unable to cancel order

I’ve just placed an order with Debenhams and I changed the delivery address to my current address. But when I clicked to finalise the purchase the page must’ve refreshed and defaulted back to my old address. To my horror the delivery address was showing the old address.
I tried to contact Debenhams immediately to cancel or change the order (as most retailers can do this - it’s common sense). But all I am met with is a bot via WhatsApp and Messenger and cannot speak to a human.
Now I’m left with £150 worth of goods going to an address that is far away that I can’t access and no one to speak to at Debenhams.
Anyone had this experience with them or advise what I can do?

You may have to wait until it's been delivered (or attempted), and take it from there. I presume you're not in touch with the occupants of your previous address? If you were, you could ask them to decline the delivery or return it as "not at this address". If not, then once you are able to get in touch with them (it appears to have been after 5pm on a Friday when you tried to contact them, so try again on Monday morning), explain what's happened and see what they say.
I don't know that most retailers do as you suggest. Some do (I know Amazon does), but others are automated to the extent that once the process has started it can't be interrupted. There have been plenty of similar threads on here from people unable to cancel orders before they're sent. It would have been common sense to delete your old address from the sites you use - you provided the old address, after all.0 -

And cc inStating you are withdrawing your offer for order number xxx and as such a contract shall not be formed.
Could also try the chat options tomorrow as customer service is probably closed at this time of the evening.
