Sorry, but it's another "best printer for me" question ...

I've done lots of searches but ended up more undecided than ever.
All we need here is a basic A4 mono laser printer which also copies, to which we can send stuff from either our Windows 11 laptops or our Android phones.
Occasional home use only, and don't want anything that relies on an internet connection or is a PITA to set up.
Suggestions please?

I bought a Brother printer(HL L2445DW) a few months ago to replace an 18 year old HP Laser.
Good points
Cheapish (under £120), Easy to set up, runs wirelessly to connect both our computers simply, prints double sided, good quality print.
Bad points
If there is a software upgrade(and for initial install) you have to do it via USB cable. Won't work over wireless.
No 2nd paper tray (which I should have spotted before I bought!).1 -
Cheers for that. Looks good but I'm a bit put off by the supplied toner cartridge apparently only being good for 700 copies, and that toner cartridge delivery business ...giraffe69 said:I bought a Brother printer(HL L2445DW) a few months ago to replace an 18 year old HP Laser ...We're all doomed0 -
I have a similar but probably older model printer (HL-L2350DW) which I've found very reliable so far. I use wifi and I do occasionally have to reconnect it but if you're looking to hardwire it I wouldn't imagine there would ever be a connectivity problem. I note that the 2445DW sold on Viking includes a 1200 page cartridge. It also mentions the automated toner subscription but it's an option, if you'd rather buy your cartridges elsewhere (as I do) you're free to. The one thing it won't do that was on your requirements list is copy, I just have a cheap flatbed scanner that I use on the rare occasions that I need to copy an existing page.1

I think the HL L2445DW comes with a 1200 toner cartridge as standard (at least on the sites i used).1
