Refund from Igloo energy/e-on next

I received a letter in Nov 2021 from eon next saying they were appointed by Ofgem to take on Igloo energy supply customers. They advised that i had a final credit balance of £18.64. I have emailed them (eon) several times and they say that im not owed any funds. I have it in writing and have sent them the letter but their customer services is horrendous. How else can i get this money back? (its more than principle now rather than the amount).
Thanks

Surely the credit balance would have been applied to your SOLR Eon next account so why do you think that Eon Next owe you money ?1

As @molerat says, agreed credits were carried forward to the new supplier on supplier failure and charged back to OFGEM via the SOLR process and on to everyone's bills.
Debts were generally not carried forward.0
