Hi everyone,
dp1, ouch, poor little one, I hope she feels better soon.
Gers, ouch to you too, bladder infections are an absolute misery aren't they.
Here's hoping for a successful op and quick recovery for Camelot.
Coxy, commiserations to your DH (and to you for having to be a ministering angel).
I've been absent for a while, we were away last week, whizzing from Yorkshire to the Wirral, to Wales and then Bristol to see the family and sometimes I didn't even get to read the thread let alone post. We got back from Bristol late Monday and then had Steve's haematology appointment on Tuesday (all is well thankfully). Yesterday we looked after Nate who seemed to have picked up a stomach bug so we had a quiet day although I still managed to pull my hamstring on a very gentle walk so I was hobbling around very painfully.
Yesterday was Esben's sixth birthday so he was greatly excited especially as Brian's younger brother (by about 20 years) was visiting them. He's been picked as the narrator for his class Christmas play which is great considering he's not even been in the school for a term. I know I'm a proud Nonna but he's definitely inherited his mum's charisma.
I'd better go before I bore you all to bits.
Have a good day.9 -
Evening all from Mehefinland
A very late one from me today - got the car back yesterday after MOT and sorting out the DPF problem. The car died on me as I was taking it for a run to try to clear the filter ( its the recommended treatment). However I limped into the garage and just left it there. Turns out it was an igniter failure ( diesel) , and of course with my luck it was not a cheap part!! Anyway its fixed and has a new MOT so that's a relief. - may be beans on toast for a while.
Went to our war memorial with Yr 6 of the primary school , plus a few of my fellow council members, and the Chair with her chain of office on. A short service complete with a bugler to play Last Post - quite made me feel strange. It is something the school started doing at the centenary and has continued - I think it is so important that they do.
Litter pick tomorrow around the route from church ready for Sunday's big service. We seem to be getting more and more attendees as the years go on- close to 500 last year at our little village!! I expect if the weather is foul we will be significantly reduced in numbers.
Sorry to see s many poodles currently - get well soon
Hugs and spoons as always

Hugs to all the poorlies from America.
@dp1 - I had never heard of costochondritis, until one day they were saying what Michael Jackson, the singer, had wrong with him and described the symtoms. I realized I had the same thing and went to the doctor the next day and amazingly that is what I had too. Hurts a lot. But does go away with treatment so sending best wishes to LO.7
