Help with Tide Accounting Software

Hi there, does anyone use Tide Accounting for their LTD? I'm having a hard time understanding how to record transactions that occur outside my Tide business account on there. You have the option to record a manual transaction, but you cannot upload a receipt with it and it doesn't appear to register in the accounts as money owed to you when you are recording a transaction made on your personal credit card - for example. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks

I don't know Tide specifically, but using Quickbooks and Starling Bank, I make a refund payment to myself to repay anything I've bought using a personal card from the Starling Bank Account and record it in Quickbooks as though I were the supplier of the  goods that had been purchased. If you paid yourself from your Tide Business Account (as though you were a supplier) you would presumably be able to attach your receipt in the way you would an invoice from any supplier.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

In the context of the software "you" is the limited company. So it isnt "money owed to you", from the companies perspective its money it owes a director and as the above suggested you potentially can most simply set yourself up as a supplier though a half decent system you would add it as employee expenses

£18 a month once the free trial is over is a fair amount to pay and fairly sure other apps are both cheaper and more feature rich. The problem with free trials is that they tend to make it difficult to leave after so much of your data is stuck in them. I've always recommended trialing a few at the same time and then deciding which to stick with rather than trying just one for a year and then realising its too much effort to switch so you get stuck with a not great expensive solution.
