I am on my third Tefal Steam Generator now (in 8 years). Excellent results. Just top up and carry on ironing but doesn't need refilling often. Can see water level. I got my special board free with my first one and it is still going strong.0

Please can someone explain to me what the difference is with a steam generator iron, and a normal steam iron?
I have 4 kids( 3 teens.. LOTS of ironing!) and 2 adults in the house, and it takes ages to work my way through work shirts & jeans!
Do you only have to iron one side of the clothes?
What is the best out of the above irons posted on here?
My dream is to have an ironing lady.. until then maybe one of these can help me!!!
