Daily Mail Great War DVD Offer

Did anyone else send away a cheque for this "offer". You had to collect a dozen or so vouchers from the Daily Mail , obviously meaning you had to purchase the newspaper over a period of a couple of weeks. This was in November , I,m still waiting for them, having phoned the Daily Mail a month ago RE. the offer , was told none of the DVD,S were in stock . Totally ridiculous state of affairs having ordered them over 2 months ago.

  • I got sent these instead of Barbara Taylor Bradford. I have contacted them, and should now get sent BTB. I think the menu system when I called said something about Great War, but I wasn't listening to that bit, so it may have said they are about to catch up on sending them out . . . .

This happens time after time with the Daily Mail. The advertise and promote an offer like this very heavily, and then get caught out because of the "unprecedented demand for the offer". Won't they ever learn?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Now,they do the offers and say despatch will begin in a few months after the offer. They clearly state this but it is annoying, however they dont usually cash your cheque until despatch. But it does seem that despatches are taking longer and longer, and i also remember, just a few years ago the offers were free, now you have to pay for them.
  • posted my tokens in november - after nearly 4 months waiting i sent an email on saturday and coincidentally finally received dvd's and book today. :j

hopefully the backlog is sorted and everybody will now receive theirs v soon. quite impressed with dvd's, book and storage case (for cardboard). folds into quite a nice box

the mail takes longer and longer. ordered a teddy bear in october for guaranteed xmas delivery a couple of years ago - it arrived just in time (for her birthday in june)
