I had an email. It is necessary to click the button there to enter. 

Money for December's DDs can sit there for a few weeks, even though the account is now only paying 3%. Unlike many other savings accounts, the funds can be paid out directly to a current account with another provider.

From the T&C, it says how to opt in, including from app

To be eligible for the prize draw, you must:
✓ be a Santander UK personal current account and/or savings account customer
✓ have a combined balance across all your Santander current and/or savings accounts more than £100
✓ have this balance of £100+ on 30 November 2025
✓ keep your account(s) open until the winner is selected
✓ have opted in to the prize draw. You can do this in 3 ways:
 ○ go to Offers in ‘Products and Offers’ in the Santander Mobile Banking app
 ○ directly from the prize draw email we may have sent you
 ○ via the pop up message you may have received in mobile or online banking. 

I got the "pop up" first page message when I logged in on the website

I’d opted out of marketing bumph so no invite. The link to enter wasn’t easy to find but thanks to this thread I managed it. 

The fewer people who find it the better😉

I am opted out from marketing, so I used the instructions in the full details link "go to Offers in ‘Products and Offers’ in the Santander Mobile Banking app". I could then accept marketing information as a one-off to opt in.
