Adaptive Headlights

I have just discovered that from next month - ALL new cars in UK must have adaptive headlights fitted..........
That's the ones that not only dip automatically for oncoming traffic but also shape the pattern of light for distance use and re-point with the turn of the wheel (like Citroens/Saabs did 50 + years ago)
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

There's a UNECE requirement for mandatory headlamp auto-LEVELLING, passed in 2023, required from September 2027...

As far I can find out, there was talk of a mandate to start Dec 2025 but this hasn't yet been agreed or implemented?0
