The Elster AS300P is an older SMETS1 meter. There are instructions on how to read the export register given on the OVO support forums:
If your smart meter has 3 grey buttons .
Manufacturer: Elster .
Start by pressing the middle button on your meter. You’ll see one of the following options:
-
‘General’.
-
‘Utility menu’.
If your meter has a ‘General’ option, follow these steps:
-
Press the middle button again to select the ‘General’ option.
-
Press the bottom button, then the middle button, to select ‘Total reg’. Your screen should now show ‘!!!!!!. Imp.’.
-
Press either the top or bottom button to show the ‘!!!!!!. Exp.’ screen. This figure is your reading (Cumulative Export).
If your meter has a ‘Utility menu’ option, follow these steps:
-
Press the middle button again to select the ‘Utility menu’ option.
-
Press the bottom button twice, then the middle button, to select ‘Dial Test’. Your screen should now show ‘!!!!!!. Imp.’.
-
Press either the top or bottom button to show the ‘!!!!!!. Exp.’ screen. This figure is your reading (Cumulative Export).

It's highly unlikely to show on the IHD until the meter is configured and enrolled with an export MPAN. Possibly not even then.Baldytyke88 said:QrizB said:What make & model is your smart meter? We can probably tell you how to find the export register

The whole point of the consultation is to decide which inflation index is "right". But in case my point as missed, none of the options under consideration would reduce FIT generation payments.Baldytyke88 said:I believe RPI is the highest measure of inflation and CPI the lowest. The whole point of the consultation is to switch to an inflation measure that's lower than the current one. This is to reduce future payments compared with what they should be. RPI was the one specified when the FIT scheme was set up.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
I don't think responding without choosing an option is a good idea. I think they're likely to count actual votes cast, and regard your response as a 'spoiled vote', when taking a decision.EricMears said:However, I have done as DrJohnSmith suggests and filled in the survey without choosing a preferred alternative but with comments suggesting that scheme should remain operating in accordance with original promises and that any changes would further erode public confidence in government.0 -
It's not going to be decided by counting "votes".0
