Under sink water filter

I used to use a water filter jug, but got fed up, of changing the cartridges, having it on the side & it started leaking too.

I've had a Water2 filter under the sink for the last year or so and it's been great. It's time to change the filter, as they say to change it once a year and the water is starting to taste funny again.

This brand seems to have really taken off lately, they do seem to advertise quite heavily.

Does anyone know of a lesser known brand that does an under sink filter, that may be better value for money?

Thanks!

Just fit a triple 10" filter housing and use 10 micron, 1 micron and a carbon filter.

A fraction of the price of the stuff hyped on social media. Ebay and Amazon have plenty of options, thr filter housings easy to plumb in and also commonly used for koi carp ponds etc.

Brilliant, thanks very much. I very nearly bought this, but my wife said to check it does the same thing as the Water 2 one. Apparently, the Water2 one filters down to 0.1 microns. I've had a look around and can't find a filter for these housings that go down to 0.1 microns. Are you aware of any, please?

If you google around, these are thought to be a bit of a scam.

Why would you want 0.1 microns? That could severely restrict flow rates (a complaint of the Water2 product). In the UK the tap water is generally decent to start with.

1 micron is sufficient to trap most nasties but if you wanted better then 0.5 micron also commonly available.
