Locked credit report

I cannot log in to my Experian account to unlock my credit report.  They have no customer phone number and so you can only contact them via email.  They take up to 6 days to reply.  I’ve had this issue for 3 weeks and it’s still not resolved.  I’m trying to buy a house and need my credit report unlocked for my mortgage valuation.

I’m running out of time and am worried the sellers might pull out if I can’t get my report sorted.  Can anyone help?

Surely it’s up to your mortgage to gather the relevant information for themselves? Are they saying they are unable to access it because I don’t remember having to access a credit report and show it to anyone directly myself when I last bought a house?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Perhaps OP can confirm but I suspect that they have frozen/locked their credit account at Experian themselves at some point and are now unable to lift the freeze/lock to allow legitimate access requests from third parties.

If you're simply unable to log into your Experian account (ie. locked out of the online account, rather than the account itself being locked), try checkmyfile instead. It's free for 30 days if you've never had an account with them, or £14.99 per month after that (and you can cancel as soon as you've opened the account). It will show you all the detail of your credit files for Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
