BW Legal - Instruction on behalf of Premier Park Ltd

Today (02/11/25), I have received a letter in the post (dated 17/10/25) from BW Legal, referring to a balance due for a PCN from 24/12/24.  This is the first time that I have had any contact from any one in relation to this PCN.  BW Legal are demanding payment of £170.00 by 21/11/25.  How should I respond, bearing in mind that I have had no contact at all about this until now?  Any advice gratefully received!

The usual reason for not receiving prior knowledge of PCNs etc is that the V5C is not up-to-date with your correct and current address.  If that is the case you need to advise the DPO of Premier Park and BW Legal of your correct address for service and require them to erase all your other data.

Ensure that the DPO at Premier Park Ltd has the correct address for the service of papers,  email it

Respond to B W Legal using the LoC response template,  preferably by email or online

Thanks both.  I have done a bit more digging and this latest letter relates to a text message that I had received in March this year, that only quoted a PCN number that could not be accessed on the Premier Park website.  After taking advice in this forum, I emailed the DPO at both Premier Park and DPRL providing them with proof of my address (Council tax bill) and the emails to them was worded as follows -

"I write in relation to the above Debt Recovery Plus (DRPL) reference number, Premier Park Ltd PCN number - ********* and subsequent text message received from Debt Recovery Plus (DRPL) on behalf of Premier Park Ltd.

I request rectification and instruct Debt Recovery Plus (DPRL) and Premier Park to erase my old data and replace it with my current address for service.  I request that the code of practice is followed, debt recovery is paused and the PCN is re-issued."

I asked both DRPL and Premier Park to confirm receipt and action of my emails to them and I did not get a reply from either, nor have I had anything through the post until yesterday.  It is only on the letter from BW Legal, that it actually states the location of the parking, this is the first time, nearly 11 months later that I have been told this.

Do I send a similar letter to BW Legal and repeat the letter to Premier Park again?

Do you recognise the parking location?  Could you have parked there?  If you used the standard Data Rectification Notice, it would have stated that the PPC is required to inform all and any of its agents and subcontractors (such as BW Legal).  If you don't receive a positive response, report them to the ICO.

If the address on the BW Legal letter is correct why do anything?

Personally I advise ignoring their Letters Before Claim. They don't always make a claim.

They might well only take action against live fishes.
