Smart Overstay

Hi guys, my sisters had one from Smart for an overstay at a McDonalds..
She bumped into an old friend and got chatting whilst their kids played on the tablets they have in there.
The ntk doesnt even specify any contravention or why the charge was issued, it just states location, arrival time, departure time, duration of which is 91mins.
She had to revisit site to find out what the contravention was, and turns out the max stay is signed as 75mins, so with grace period thats a 6 min overstay...
I told her to complain to the branch whilst there, but they are refusing to get involved, so next port of call have told her to email McDonalds UK cust services, but they are yet to respond.
So just double checking, if that fails, the m.o. for Smart will be, keeper appeal with template, and then ignore until any LBC??

McD won't get involved - it'll be the franchisee.
But since it's Smart I just wouldn't do a thing at all. Just wait for the claim form from DCB Legal. They'll discontinue a few months after your defence is filed.0 -
Ok thanks..
She suffers from terrible stress and anxiety, she's the perfect victim of this scam, she's always just paid them before usually the day they arrive, it's taken me 3 days to talk her out of paying this one for now.
I've a feeling as soon as dca letters come etc shes gonna buckle and pay anyway.

I would do an appeal in her name and give them your address , (ie saying thats your new address)
So she doesnt get further letters and then pay up0
