Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you're still cosy in bed.
There's a glint of sunlight this morning after a day of rain yesterday, it's breezy too but not nice enough to risk putting out the washing!
Hugs to you YL.
Not much going on here as usual, DD and the little one will be visiting later so looking forward to that. Bathrooms to clean and a general tidy round will do for today.
Happy Sunday, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's quiet on here this morning, where is everyone?
We had an early shower this morning which wasn't on the forecast but it didn't last long and we now have blue sky and sunshine and it's quite mild! Most welcome after yesterday's horrible day.
I have sliced beef in gravy defrosting for my lunch, also a packet of swede mash which was frozen when I portioned up an enormous swede a while back. Still to decide what other veg to prep. I'll do enough to warm up tomorrow with maybe sausages.
Nothing much happening today, another day of same old same old with an afternoon of Sunday Sloth I suppose! I hope you all have a more exciting day than me in store! ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better, sad or lonely. Take care xx

Morning everyone
It's a nice sunny morning here - yesterday was nice too, my washing dried outside. I'm going to get it ironed this morning, before I go down to sit with dad, mam's going to church. Then I'll have a few hours to myself before little one arrives. She's here till bedtime on Tuesday, as DD is going on a training course for fostering. It's at least a 90 minute drive from here and she would have had to leave home very early to be there on time, so she's booked a Travelodge for the two nights instead.
I had a nice chat with eldest DD before I got up, she was in a hotel in Stuttgart, she's taking in another Hyrox competition this afternoon.
Right I'll wish you all a good day and get the ironing done x9 -
Morning allIt's been pouring down here so bedding upstairs on the airer. Just checked the weather forecast and we're due sun and dry weather in an hour or so!Just waiting for shopping delivery this morning then I can finish making the shepherds pie for dinner as I didn't have enough potatoes to do it yesterday.Have a good day all x8

Morning all, thanks Gers.I didn't get to post or read yesterday due to an early boys football kick off. It was a friendly , but soon became apparent that the other team were in a lower league. Our team scored a lot of goals but we felt sorry for the other boys. Their coach wanted to carry on as he thought it would reveal the weaknesses he could work on. In the 2nd half our coach and his assistant (DS2
) mixed up our positions so the others managed to score a couple.I made an Indian of sorts last night, cooked some tandoori chicken from the butcher, rice & DH popped to morries for some samosas ( and lots of cakey items!)YL. hugs for yesterday.TA we are also having roast beef from the freezer, saved from last time.Right better see about getting doggo out for his 1st walk of the day. His previous owner messaged me yesterday for an update, I sent her a couple of photos on whatsapp so she was pleased.Hugs to all in need of one, take care.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Made it downstairs, I really don't lying awake in bed even though it's often needed. I've cleared a bit of a clutter space on my upstairs chair so it's now looking good again and not hidden under a small pile of stuff. Three items for the bin!I've washed my hair downstairs as I wasn't going to shower, I'll have one tonight before bed, that way I can get into a warm bed.Yesterday the rain hammered down for most of it, dried up for an hour of brilliant sunshine and then hammered down again and still going. I won't be going out unless it stops. There's a couple of chores I need to do in the big town but they can wait until tomorrow, I'll go up after my exercise class. I've booked an electrolysis session as the area where I had laser treatment is beginning to regenerate into white hairs. A few zaps will do it.Well done that team @Rosy. Those Hyrox competitions look fierce @DP1, please let us know how your DS does. Take this easy @Camelot!Hugs to our poorlies.8

Morning all
Dry and bright here after a horrid day yesterday it rained for most of the day, I have a towel load to hang out and another in the wm so will hang them both out once done, there are a few whites to do as well so I will see if dd has any to add to the load.
Dinner today is roast pork and all the trimmings I will do enough for tomorrow too so an easy dinner when I get in from work.OH will put the logs in the shed this morning and then get the dogs out for a walk, I will prep the dinner and clean through downstairs.
I have made a decision about my new lady, I am not going to take the job, I sent them my contract as I do with everyone I work for, it’s a standard contract which the local council use when I work for them, the family have basically changed almost everything on the contract and sent it back, I also told them what hours I was available to work which they agreed to but have since said that they are no good for them and have asked me to change the hours dramatically, they have changed my mileage payment, I also said I was not available for sleep in duty and they have now said I need to do this at a lower than standard rate, they also asked me to do several jobs around the house such as get a load of logs in, now I will help anyone out but I feel that they will take advantage, there are lots of red flags and my gut feeling is telling me not to do it so I will email her later and let them know, I will stay with Matt for the time being until he goes into residential and then look for something else.I booked flights yesterday for OH and I to go to Venice for a few days just before Christmas, I need to look for a hotel today and get that booked, it’s a magical time of year to visit Venice so we are very much looking forward to it.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Spot on @RedRuby1231 Before you know it they'll be wanting you to scrub the floors! Definitely a wise decision on your part x7

RUBY I'd be surprised if they found anyone to accept the job under their terms. You did right to decline it."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"6
