UC declaring money in bank (rent money)

When updating my savings I will have my rent money in my bank account do I exclude that? the UC AP falls on a Sunday and the rent comes out on the Monday, I was going to update the savings on the Sunday and exclude the rent money as it will be out of my bank on the Monday.

Unfortunately it is based on your circumstances on the last day of your assessment period.

Are your savings - not including income (wages, benefit payments, etc.), just savings - over £6,000?

Unfortunately it is now over £6,000 that's in stocks and shares (ISA) account.

In my normal bank account I have £800 but £400 is the rent money that comes from UC.

That's why I wasn't sure if I include the rent went I report the change in savings?

If I don't spend all of the UC I get does this then turn into savings?

The other £400 in your bank account, how did you receive this ?  Is this from recent benefit payments?
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Is the £400 rent money actually savings, or was it income in this assessment period?

The £400 is from the last assessment period that came from the UC payment for the rent, as UC also pays the rent.

It's not savings that £400 will be leaving my account the day after the last assessment date.

Benefit money does not become savings until after the end of the next assessment period.

So that would mean I wouldn't include the rent money?

I think you declare it all and apply to have it disregarded.
