Santander to Lloyd's faster payment

Do transfers from Santander edge up to Lloyd's club not go instantly on weekends? Made a payment to meet the £2000 funding requirement and it has appeared but the available balance doesn't include it and it shows as a payment in for Monday.

That's normal for Lloyds. Deposits received at the weekend or on bank holidays are credited on the next working day.

Is it the same for TSB, Natwest, RBS?

Problem? The cash is still available to move elsewhere if you need it.

Yeh, it eventually appeared as accessible after 25 mins or so. Natwest RBS and TSB were practically instant on the other hand. My monthly routine of meeting funding requirements but the 1st time I've done it on a weekend, hence the panic!

I, too, have accounts with Santander and Lloyd's. I'm sure that it states clear on the Lloyd's Payments and Transfers (not sure about Santander) that payments will be made on the next working day.

I've never noticed that. I move money from Santander to meet the funding requirements of my other banks on the 1st of each month, whether it is a weekend or not.

£2000 to club Lloyds and it is available as quickly as I can close the Santander app and open the Lloyds one. Pay the two Lloyds regular saver, leave enough for my DDs and move the balance back to Santander.

There may be occasional glitches, but the only bank I have which consistently has a short delay in the money appearing is the Coop.

I really should actually go and look but I think what they have is the standard Faster Payments service level ambition, that payments will probably be near-instant, might be up to 2 hours but may take up until the end of the next working day.

It did go, just took longer than I expected to be accessible. Then did transfer into my wife's and it was instantly withdrawable so just a weird quirk I guess.
