PARKING CONTROL MANAGEMENT RESTRICTED ZONE

I went to visit a friend and he advised me was ok to park on restricted zone on private land. When return got a notice on pcn. I waited and have now got notice to keeper. Although he gave me a vistors pass i did question why should park there and he said everyone does it. Wondering if any point to fight this ie use the one template, as i parked on the yellow lines and not bays? Thanks

Where was this; is it a residential site and your friend lives there?  Do they have a permit system for themselves and visitors?  Did you display a permit?  Were there any signs?

    You do realise:

    1. nobody here ever pays private PCNs, and

    2. double yellows don't mean no stopping. You can certainly stop on DYL for a few minutes to load/unload, so how long did the PCN say the car was observed for? Mere minutes?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
