Looking for recommendations for a super quiet free standing fridge-freezer, please, preferably 50/50, not too enormous
Needs to go in an open plan space and I'm a light sleeper!
I've seen a few online (eg https://ao.com/product/cct3l157ewk1-candy-fridge-freezer-white-99331-28.aspx ) but would find a personal recommendation helpful
Quietness more important than price, but budget is no more than £500
TIA
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

My Samsung RL60GZEIH_SSL, bought in 2015, is NLA and isn't 50:50, but is super quiet. Don't know if it's because of some 'Digital Inverter Compressor' used in it.

Samsung RL60GZEIH Review - Trusted Reviews says that 2014 £820 FF is 44dB-A

"Rustling trees" in ones lounge or bedroom   Our Samsung FF and Upright Freezers in the Kitchen are not particularly quiet but I don't have the dB specs for them to hand.

That said 44dB(A) is what our Neff dishwasher is rated at.  I'd not want to be sleeping in the same room as it when running.

Our bedroom split pack aircon unit is rated as 40/30/26/19 dB(A) for High/Medium/Low/Ultra low fan speed and we sleep with it on ultra low.  Can still (just) hear it and occasionally it's slightly louder when the refrigerant liquid circulation kicks in and out.  So you need to look for units at the 26dB or less noise figure, probably.

Truly quiet and near-silent refrigerators are the absorption type used in caravans/motorhomes and hotel rooms - but they often have limitations on how cool they can go vs the room temperature.

    And just a note.
I have been in the market for several white goods items this last few months.
Looked at all the usual suspects and all their prices are broadly the same.
However when it comes to delivery etc than there is an enormous amount of difference in what they all charge.
I found the best place to buy the exact same items was Amazon.
Free delivery and in some cases next day at no extra charge.
Also a number of the items had free installation and free packaging removal.
