Hi Forum.
I have a friend who's got this County Court letter. Dated 06 Oct 25.
She's just shown me it now on the 30th Oct 25.
It's not 100% clear on your sticky posts as to what happens with no action?
So, I get that the claim is now £250 and a CCJ is possible, but if my friend is not bothered about getting a bad credit rating, would actual bailiffs (not bothered about debt-collectors) be possible if she continues to ignore?
Basically, what are the potential outcomes and would she eventually be forced in some way to pay?
Options please?
(Also, I phoned the county court to confirm the letter was real. It is. I hope that cannot get back to the parking company? The fact I phoned, that is...)

if your friend is not bothered about CCJ then due to the value of the claim , then no enforcement will take place only a few letters
She cant and wont be made to pay
and no why would a phone call to a large organisation get back to a decent sized parking company that does make any sense4 -
It may already be a default CCJ if Gladstones pulled the trigger a few days ago, so possibly this week2

Can't understand why you are frightened of something getting back to a dimwitted parking company so what! That POC is so generic it means nothing, the amount claimed is ridiculous and includes additional costs that cannot be claimed, why has she ignored it and letting scammers carry on?3

Why is everyone going to so much trouble to defend a claim if it cannot be enforced? My friend was of the opinion just to ignore as was I.But after reading the forum posts, it seemed to me, that the claim value would increase, then you would get maybe a CCJ, then potential bailiffs (the real kind - not the debt collectors).

Let's say my friend does get a CCJ ?She's not bothered about bad credit, but this is what she is bothered about after looking at CCJ's:
Legal Implications
Enforcement Actions
- Debt Collection: If you fail to pay the CCJ, creditors can take further legal action, such as applying for a charging order on your property or an attachment of earnings, which deducts payments directly from your salary.

You definitely get a CCJ on the credit file, after one month, if it remains unpaid
No bailiffs unless it's over £600 and escalated to the High Court for an enforcement Writ , as seen on tv4 -
Thanks Gr1prIs that £600 limit, per individual case or can several claim values be combined to go over the limit.(My friend has 1 more 'fine' at the 'before action' stage).0

No cases like these can't combined.FearKarma111 said:Thanks Gr1prIs that £600 limit, per individual case or can several claim values be combined to go over the limit.(My friend has 1 more 'fine' at the 'before action' stage).
Parking firms dont use other forms of enforcement unlike other types of creditors
So harmless
Most people deal with claims as they don't want a ccj on their credit file4 -
"She's not bothered about bad credit," does she understand fully the hassle that a CCJ can cause ?5
