Afternoon.... Just waiting to take OH and gang to the airport for their trip...I've cleaned the car, hoovered it, filled and checked the tyres this moring. I've also spent some time trying to make friends with the stray grey cat that's been hanging around, mission successful, i reckong I'll be able to get it in a carrier tomorrow or Sunday to be scanned. I think it's a he, a medium haired british blue by the look of him, he's quite young and has very white teeth. Hopefully someone is missing him or we'll have three cats....Is this how it starts? Do I become a crazy cat lafy because I can't stand to see an animal in need? Plus, you know, feeding is my forte so nothing can go hungry around me...Me and the heart nurse had a good old grump together about stuff, mainly him, I couldn't even contemplate doing his job, it must be so soul destroying sometimes. I'll be making him a Christmas cake again, apparently his mother gave it the thumbs up last year and she's a harsh judge, so I'm quite pleased about that!Excellent service Gers, well done them! A second for jeggings except the annoying habit of not putting front pockets in them. Hope the treatment can be sped up a bit too...Coxy, have a lovely weekend! Ruby, I could understand one thing being wrong but all that together doesn't paint a great picture...dp1. hope you have a nice time in Alnwick, how do you pronounce that? camelot, best place ot be in rubbish weather...unless you're Allie of course doing the dos...have a nice weekend you too! Izzy, mine is a lot better than he was but then, if he doesn't learn to cook he has to put up with what I make doesn't he?
Right,, almost time to go, better check everything is in place....Have a nice weekend all...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9 -
Gers,
Lands end used to do some very stretchy straight leg jeans I don't know if they still do. They also had an elasticated waist which allowed me to get the size 14 I need for my hips while still fitting my waist. They look like true jeans.3 -
My open fire is also my primary source of heating right now, although the upstairs rads work occaisionally.RedRuby1231 said:Morning all
Its been very blustery here all night with rain for most of it, it’s dry for now but more rain due later this afternoon.
I am off to get my nails done this morning and then I need to pop into Mr T to get a few bits, I had my shopping delivered yesterday from Ocado and there was a bag of rocket leaves which were split open, some hash browns when I ordered chips and worst of all a packet of GF flatbread which were completely green with mould 🤢 I have emailed Ocado and am waiting for a response but we need the flatbreads for dinner tonight so I will nip in and get some.
So dinner tonight will be a chicken and flatbread thing that dd makes with a few hm chips on the side, it’s always delicious so 8m looking forward to it.
I also have to get a bag of logs, there is a chap up the road who does them, we have logs coming tomorrow but need a few for tonight, as this is our primary source of heating atm.
Have good days all and take care xx
It is expensive to keep a real fire going. Not the cheap source of heating it once was

@_taff -Yep, that's how it starts. Pretty soon, you are having deliveries of nothing but cat food and cat toys and your list of what you want gets shoved to the back of the list pile. Been there, done that. Have paid to have 28 cats neutered over time as they stayed in our backyard. Taken several in to be pts when the problems became too bad. Still have two eating at our house which are new ones. They are not part of the "gift" our neighbor gave my father when she gave him the load of cat food and led the cats down to our house when she decided to move half way across the country. There were 18 cats (!) to start with and little ones coming before we got the mothers neutered. Only problem was, that after we neutered the cats and with natural attrition, you eventually end up with no cats. Went almost a year with no outdoor cats to look after. Was very sorry to see the last one die off. The two coming now I think actually belong to two neighbors but come over to eat our indoor cats' leftovers (2 of them).6
