Afternoon all, late one from me too. Was laughing about the purple stair carpet and bedroom door @mehefin!
Thanks for the start @Gers. Glad your trip home was uneventful and don't blame you for wanting to rest up tomorrow if you've another long trip next week. I too struggle with trousers and am seriously considering making my own - just need to get my confidence up.
I've been to the local market town today. Not market day but good to see people out. I shopped in a couple of independent gift shops and got a couple of bits for C. Also needed some pop and snacks for a fundraiser later at DSis's house.
DH and pals left at 3.30am for the airport - both had a shower and both our showers have pumps - thanks boys!! They have arrived safely in Tenerife so my weekend will be spent with BFF as her DH is with them.
 Take it easy @camelot1001 x
Hope Matt has a better day @RedRuby1231 x
Happy Birthday to Mr @Chrisca50 x
 Have a good day all

            Hello everyone
I'm late today...I was talking to DD in Germany and was late making my tea. The company she works for announced that there would be 900 redundancies before the end of next year, not just in Germany but over several countries. She works very hard and was promoted to senior designer after being there a short time, so she is hopeful that it won't affect her... they won't be told more until December.
Little one and I had a lovely day out to Edinburgh yesterday - we went to Dynamic Earth which was really interesting, then to the Museum of Childhood, which is a lovely little museum I used to take my girls too...she liked looking at the old dolls, but thought a lot of them had 'creepy faces' - they did! Then hot chocolate and lovely carrot cake in a little cafe...we'd had a packed lunch so deserved a treat.
I had planned on doing some housework today, but DD asked if I wanted to go to a local arts centre for lunch and then paint pottery...that was an easy decision! Lovely scampi and chips for lunch then little one and I painted plant pots and saucers and DD a mug...she'll collect them on Sunday.
I did hoover downstairs when I got back and did the ironing before I made my tea.
Not much will be done tomorrow either as I've decided to go on a bus trip to Alnwick - copying you TA - it only takes 45 minutes and the bus stops at the end of my road, so nice and easy. It will be nice to have a look in some different shops and I'll find a cafe for lunch, I might get some Christmas presents too.
Right I'd better get my dishes washed up x
