DCB LEGAL N1SDT claim form recieved
webbyk
I received a county court claim form for a parking charge almost 5 years ago. I was in the military, so I had my mother's address registered with DVLA. Since leaving the military, I have been in rented accommodation and have been living in my own house for over 2 years before receiving any letters. I had one letter previously about a month before the court claim, which I assumed was a scam as it was 5 years ago and with a car I no longer owned, so I ignored it.
I'll upload a picture of the form when it allows me to.
I have completed AOS on MCOL.
Currently working through the 8 steps
Was confused by some wording with it being DCB legal is there a specific template for them?
I am due to be travelling for 6 months from January so would like all this squashed so it's not looming over me. Has anyone been through the process and can shed some light on timescales, please?
Much appreciated to all of those taking the time to help and putting threads and templates together.

I'm in a similar situation with Smart Parking and DCB Legal. I need to file my AOS online today. Do I say I'm defending all of the claim or part?

Use this as the basis of your 11 paragraphs defence, adapting paragraphs 2 & 3 as required

Thank you for the link. For para 2, am I admitting only that I am the registered keeper?
Also, for para 3, my argument is that I don't recall the event. It was 5 years ago, and I wouldn't be able to recall the signage, where I was parked, even if I were the driver.
Is this enough to have the claim thrown out down the line when it comes to needing evidence?
I'm just worried about being away for so long and missing any postal correspondence. We will have people in the property while away. Just if something gets missed.0
