Enjoy your breakfast Gers! Hope you enjoyed Ross Noble, he is funny.
It's fine here, hope it stays that way. I might get a load of washing out.
I ordered some new blinds from a shop in our little town, and they're ready so I'll collect them today. I was sick of hearing myself on about how dingy the old ones were so I upped and ordered some.
That's the main event today. I started taking those curtains up yesterday, then stopped because of various little interruptions. I'll get them done though, they're for one of the new blind windows.
Dp1, you'll have to get onto Greggs about those pasties!
Ruby, glad your mum is pleased with her new glasses.
Taff and Izzy are meeting themselves coming back as usual, slow down a bit you two!
Rosy, it sounds really nice having a stream over the road. I suppose it has its drawbacks though, am I right in thinking it's flooded in the past?
Sorry I haven't mentioned everyone that I meant to, but hope everyone has a good day. Take care folks.12 -
Back, full up again. I don't usually have any breakfast but really enjoyed this one.I've been people watching whilst eating, it's been fascinating. One couple started with full cooked stuff, moved onto yoghurt, the had a bowl of cereal, a bowl of fresh fruit and finally toast and jam. One woman brought over a plate with only one very small triangle of potato scone and then, to top up the strangeness ( for me) a tall thin stylish woman at the adjoining table had three boiled eggs. She slowly shelled them, added salt and pepper then used her cutlery to slice and eat them. A glass of water was her drink of choice. I'm not criticising, just observing - kept me engaged for half an hour.Yesterday's things were successful. Saw a lovely woman doctor, now got another appointment for a consultant next week. Nothing nasty or glowing, just want the UTIs sorted out. I remember your rash of them @TA, you were so miserable then.I'll be digesting my breakfast before starting the journey home. A tiny bit of shopping will be done. Hope that all are well. Hugs to our poorlies.10

Morning all
Raining here and set in for the rest of the week I think it’s also quite chilly this morning. I am off to see Matt today I only have three weeks left with him, I shall be sorry to leave the family but not the threat of violence every time.
Dinner tonight will be something quick like a spag bol although we don’t have any mince so I will stop and get some on the way home.
My sister now has covid and she was out with mum Sunday before she knew she had it so we are hoping that mum doesn’t come down with it.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers enjoy your breakfast
Raining again so I'll stay in and get a few jobs done
Bought a birthday card for my DGS yesterday, haven't seen him for a few years.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Good morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. Good to get some medical advice x
We are due rain here and I’ve finally got a meet up with DSis’s contact for the PT admin role this morning. Have booked another tip run for this afternoon - will decide later if I actually go or cancel it - depends on how rainy it is!!
DS2 had an IV at Morrisons yesterday and was successful. He will stack shelves for 3 x 5hr shifts per week. It’s something. He has really struggled to find anything since leaving uni in June. Hoping this gets him a routine and some local friends 🤞🏻 Only one of the seven of his uni housemates is working in their degree choice of law. All the others are in bar or catering jobs. Makes me wonder if it was all worth the costs involved.Excited for your new blinds @ScarletRibbons. Our lounge has hideous green curtains x 3 sets. I am undecided what to have in there. Might just paint the room white to clean it up - it’s currently two shades of putty 😳
Have a good day everyone

Morning folks and thanks GERS. We looked to have had a wet night but the forecast is for sunny spells, without rain, and thankfully the gusty winds of yesterday have moved on.
GERS I hope times have moved on and there is now treatment available to treat your neverending UTI's. You have remembered my misery and pain well, some 10/11 years later! Without going into the gruesome details I had numerous hospital op's and treatments, none of which helped. So I was discharged with the advice to take one anti b at night and see if that kept them at bay. Surprisingly it has and I poured scorn on the GP who suggested I stop them now and see how I go. It was a resounding NO, I don't want to go through all that again. I still remember the pain that had me almost crawling up the walls.
It's already brightening out there so it will be Plan A today. The bus trips to Ilkley for something for DS's DP's birthday. She is so difficult to buy for as she has her own jewellery and gift shop and can supply herself with most of my usual ideas! So I am resorting to what I gave her 2 years ago. A selection of nice smellies from the Yorkshire Soap co shop. I've been looking on line and if I thought their stuff was expensive before it's even more now! But I know she likes it and wouldn't buy it for herself. I might even spot some bits to put away for stocking fillers for the C word.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7 -
Morning all from drizzly dark Mehefinland
No two days are the same are they?, Spent an hour tackling some of the brambles in the field yesterday and i certainly know it today!! Back is very uncomfortable.
@Gers just saw a brilliant video clip on FB of workmen removing a massive boulder overhanging the Rest. Spectacular!
Love the 2 shades of putty colour scheme Coxy. My previous home had a dark purple stair carpet, and the previous owners had painted the bedroom doors to match - you couldn't see the top of the stairs from the bottom. Needless to say one of the first jobs was to paint the doors white( cheap fix!) as we were extremely strapped for money in those days and there was no hope of changing the carpet.
May go to the deer park and get some venison ready for the royal visit in December - son and fiance. I'll see how the weather, and my back are nearer opening time.
How is it when you turn animals out onto a lovely grassy field they find the muddiest patch to roll in!? Showman came in yesterday looking like an equine version of a Dalmatian. At least it will wash off today lol
Hugs and Spoons as always

Morning All
It's wet and windy, just carrying on from last night really. Washing from yesterday was dried partly on the pulley and then by the stove overnight and is ready to be put away.
I managed to go shopping yesterday which was good, stocked up on a few things but nothing really jumped out that I fancied eating, will stick to soup! Friends from work called round when they had finished, really lovely to see them and am very grateful they made the effort to come, one lives over an hour away from here. Finished the evening with a teams call with the Union about our job roles, my friend who lives over the road came over too as she does the same job as me but in a local to here school.
Hope your Sister is ok Ruby and your Mum doesn't catch it.
Glad your appt went well and you enjoyed the show Gers.
Well done on ordering new blinds Scarlet - the hardest bit is looking!
Congrats to your DS Coxy. Had to laugh at your paint description.
Have a good day, take care. XX8 -
Morning all! Weather is grey and dull..It looks like I'm feeding another cat as well as two foxes. I've seen it around and seen it trying to attack one of my cats . I put yesterdays cat food they don't eat and scraps out for the fox with no tail [henceforth known as Stumpy obviously] and she sometimes brings her nephew or niece along. I saw this cat eating the food I'd put out early on Sunday like it had never seen food before so the process of winning it's trust so I can get it scanned begins...And the job I'd been putting off at the allotment got started yesterday so digging up the fruit cage begins, it's quite a large area but luckily I don't have to dig the path in the middle. I might go and collect some more leaves from near OHs work too, there were piles of them..Seeing a friend today though to start with so I'll go to the upcycle place and look for some jigsaws for her.Gers, you do make laugh with your observations, plus I thought you were in hobbit mode for a minute there with second breakfastses
Scarelt, happy new blinds day, sometimes a small change makes a bit difference
Not the work that goes with it though...Coxy, congrats t your DS2 on his job..I did a fine art degree and I can safely say I've not used it much at all [ although that is a lot of me not being able to market myself when I was younger, probably have no problem now...] and went into a totally unrelated field of work. Maybe he'll be luckier in the future but what I will say is it's usually who you know not what you know so maybe networking is the answer...TA, Molton Brown is another expensive one I'd never buy for me but I know my sister likes some of the flavours...sometimes there's a sale on...Mehefin, sounds bloody awful, thank god for paint
Take care all, hope everything is sunny where you are...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7
