First Direct app won't take ID photo

So recent post about transferring bank account I chose First Direct. Link made me download app all good. Started process to open new account. App took drivers photo ok but will not take fave photo - keeps saying movement not detected. Google search result followed clear cache wipe clean try again. I have done this 7 times no luck. Checked phone settings and FD app has all camera permissions etc. The darn thing just won't recognize "nod head slowly"?????

Obvious thing but maybe try moving a bit faster or slower in a natural movement. Helps usually on a white, plain background with good light?

Otherwise you might need to call them and ask for advice.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
