Sorry, missed this post (Computer playing up - needs fixed). I'm replacing old timber framed windows on an old shed - one of which I replaced over 10 years ago!
Actually, I'm now leaning toward the 'drier' solutions suggested. I'm wary of using the expanding foam ideas - I can see foam being hard to control and difficult to clean up afterwards.
I'd much rather rely on something I could simply stuff into the gap and then afterwards apply the usual sealant on the remaining few millimeters of gap.0 -
