Parking in Manchester for Bridgewater Hall

Due to go to the Bridgewater Hall soon and need advice on parking please.
Been twice before and each time we seem to end up parking a long way off. My problem is that hubby is disabled and will need to be in a wheelchair which I sometimes struggle to push long distances. At the moment there is a warning that the lifts are out of order at the nearest multi storey and also that there is no on street parking even with a blue badge near the hall.
It will be a Friday night and will be tea time traffic. To be honest I get really stressed trying to find parking in busy city centres because I have to be sure I can manage the wheelchair and hope the weather is ok etc.
So to eliminate issues Im wondering about parking just outside the city centre and getting a taxi to the hall then back to the car.
I will be entering Manchester from the Salford end. Any suggestions about the easiest way to manage this please?

Are there any well placed train stations you could park at and then take the train in. That's what I do if ever visiting Birmingham, I park at Birmingham International as it is only about 10 minutes in via train.0

Have a look at the Metrolink’s Park and Ride. You could get a tram to St Peter’s Square which is a short walk from the Hall. Almost all the Metrolink lines go through there. There are ramps between the platforms and street level, there is level access from the platforms to the trams, and inside the trams there is space for wheelchairs. The tram map shows several P&Rs on the north side of the city, though I’m afraid I don’t know what they’re like because I’ve only used the ones on the south side.TadleyBaggie said:Are there any well placed train stations you could park at and then take the train in. Unfortunately not. Both Manchester stations are a fair walk pushing a wheelchair and the trains from out town are not reliable, plus it would be 2 changes which again I find difficult with the chair. Hubby is a big guy and Im small so I struggle at the best of times.TadleyBaggie said:Are there any well placed train stations you could park at and then take the train in. Hopefully you will have a look at the Metrolink. It does make getting around Manchester easier, particularly on a busy Friday night.
If you are utterly determined to utilise your car, you could have a look at what is available on Just Park0
