Option 1:
Cloud Signature
Sign online with a Digital ID hosted by a Trust Service Provider.
Option 2:
I don't have a Digital ID signature to use for this one-off purpose as I cannot remember signing anything online before and their advice as I am UK based is to use GlobalSign. I have been on the Globalsign website and cannot see how to create my signature or download what I need.
There are other named options on their dropdown list but I am cautious about security. After a significant amount of digging it seems several options have a cost involved.
A former colleague suggested ZealiD to me but at the moment these are just names and options floating about and I have spent half the day trying to work out how to get this done.
The 'employer' is global and I can only submit a ticket to get advice and I'm not sure they will have an answer. Hence coming on here to see if anyone else has experience or can point me in the direction of a secure option that ideally is free or low cost?
Thank you for reading this and any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

I had need to digitally sign a document (as opposed to attaching a picture of my signature which is different) a while ago and frankly gave up and had to make a journey with physical ID to complete the necessary.
So prompted by your post I've looked again at the options for getting a digital sig and went with your pal's suggestion ZealiD.
Point 1 - it's free
No real problems applying, the usual online Id verification procedure with a phone (selfie video, photo+NFC+video of passport, email verification.
SMS confirm of the device wouldn't happen - code not received. Online chat on their website fixed this in minutes - they called me with the code.
All set up, the procedure to sign a document (that I haven't done) seems to be that you upload the document to them and they "digitally" stamp it with your "signature" and return it (not sure how the last bit actually works).
Hope you get the job.1 -
Thank you very much for responding on this and having a look at - I guess it's something that is going to become more and more common. It's been a while since applying for a job so it kind of threw me off. I will give Zeal a go and appreciate your road test / feedback - and I will watch out for the SMS situation too.flaneurs_lobster said:I had need to digitally sign a document (as opposed to attaching a picture of my signature which is different) a while ago and frankly gave up and had to make a journey with physical ID to complete the necessary.
