Pet insurance before neutering

I have two new lovely little kittens and looking at pet insurance. Does the neutering/chip status affect the premium price?
They are currently too young to be neutered/chipped but that will be done as soon as it is safe to do so which should be around Christmas going on current growth rates.
They are kept indoors at the moment. We can have that discussion with them once they have their protection...
The various online quote forms all ask for current status but none give any way of saying that the intention is to do this even though the do ask about age. I feel like they should be insured now, but am I just cutting a hole in my pocket by not waiting until after Christmas?

They can still become ill inside- by ingesting something, falling off something or an underlying illness, even if theres less chance of catching something, a fighting injury or traffic accident.

Neutering can reduce the risk of some health problems so premiums can be lower.
You would need to contact any company you are interested in and ask them.
