Hi all, thanks for the help. I have found the Land Registry document and sent this showing Title Absolute as me owning the property, unfortunately they have not accepted this and say i need a Solicitors letter or TA10 form, I have emailed them back saying I can attempt to get a solicitors letter but any fees incurred will be paid by them as i will not be out of pocket for something that's been accepted for the last 3 years, and was also accepted by my solicitor for the purchase.
Im so frustrated with them, what is the process of switching over to another provider for both energy and the FiT, my agreement for FiT is in place until 2030ish so unsure if i will be hurting myself in the pockets if i do switch elsewhere by getting a much lower rate, i believe im getting 21p at the moment which seems alot higher than ive read about elsewhere.
Just to recap I have no TA10 form from the sale as it was a probate sale with the previous owner deceased and no paperwork was present at the house.
Very worst case what would the process of a solicitors letter be and how much would one cost
thanks for any help.0 -
Did your solicitor post your final paperwork to you with a covering letter that maybe confirmed completion of your purchase? Surely that would be a "solicitors letter"?Chevyjay said:Hi all, thanks for the help. So you don't know for sure that the previous house owner owned the solar panels? There used to be "rent-a-roof" schemes where a company would install their panels on your roof, they would get the FIT revenue and you would get whatever solar electricity you could use.Chevyjay said:

It would be uncommon for it not to be.@Chevyjay do you have a copy of the MCS Certificate?
The FIT rate is set by Ofgem (it varies depending in the installation date of the PV system); all FIT suppliers pay the same rates for the same system.Chevyjay said:Im so frustrated with them, what is the process of switching over to another provider for both energy and the FiT, my agreement for FiT is in place until 2030ish so unsure if i will be hurting myself in the pockets if i do switch elsewhere by getting a much lower rate, i believe im getting 21p at the moment which seems alot higher than ive read about elsewhere. You won't lose or gain money by switching, but I suspect you'll need to resolve the problem with your current supplier before you can successfully switch elsewhere.N.
