Good morning, thanks Gers. Enjoy your breakfast.
It's windy here but dry at the moment. The leaves are certainly falling now, there's drifts of them around.
Didn't do much yesterday, met a friend for coffee then did housework. Today I'm going to take a pair of curtains up, and there'll be the usual jobs to do. We'll go to the quiz as usual tonight.
You sound busy as usual Taff.
Nice to 'see' you Remmie, hope you continue to make a good recovery.
Thoughts to our poorlies, Camelot waiting for her op, and others.
Take care folks.15 -
Morning allNothing much going on here today. Will pop out later to B&* as I've run out of clothes conditioner and they sell the large bottles of it. Apart from that a quiet day here.Have a good day all xx12

Morning all
Dry here but quite chilly, I think it’s coming close to the time where the heating will go on it’s quite cold getting out of bed in the morning.
I only have one person coming today as the other one has a hospital appointment, I have asked her what she wants to do and she said take the dogs out for a walk, she loves dogs but we can’t always take them as the other person is a bit frightened of them so today is an ideal day to take them out, we will take our lunches with us and stop on a bench for a picnic.
Dinner tonight will be salmon and green bean pasta with a garlic / creamy sauce, I need to stop and get some cream cheese with garlic later.
Mum got her new glasses yesterday and she is amazed at the difference it makes to her, I am so pleased they should help her manage a bit better.
Gers enjoy your breakfast xx
Camelot hope you are doing ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope you enjoyed breakfast, the best thing about a hotel stay.
Overnight rain here but now fine with blue sky and sunshine and forecast to remain so. Just a shame about the blooming gusty wind which is blowing leaves everywhere. All destined for my front garden as usual. Grr!
Another day of same old same old. Going nowhere but the usual jobs are waiting. DD and youngest have been for a final stay at the caravan since Saturday as the site shuts 1st Nov. I haven't envied them in the weather we've had these last few days.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all xx ps has anyone heard from NAN recently?"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Good morning all
Dry outside with the promise of some sunshine. Yesterdays visit to the optician went well, although he has recommend laser eye treatment to "tidy the eye up". Whether this will take place before the other eye is done he doesn't know, it's up to the clinic. It'll all be worth it in the end. Nothing caught my eye in the cs, but a tray of ys chicken thighs were purchased in A*da, so I'll be shoehorning them into the freezer today.
Beef stew for tea, with some baguette to dip in the gravy.
Have a good day, take care.

Good morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. Enjoy the hotel breakfast x
I have a box of wall tiles to collect today courtesy of FBMP. They are plain white and we will fancy them up for DD’s eclectic room with leopard print vinyl stickers. Not my choice but we can peel them off when she moves out!! We also have a company coming to quote for new garage doors. Busy busy!
Another 25 sacks of leaves to the tip yesterday and the trees are still shedding. Could stage my own world conker championship too…..! dinner is mushroom risotto.Get well wishes to all our poorlies, have a good day all.CoxyCross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 20/25 Currently reading Finding Hildasaay by Christian Lewis12 -
Morning all, enjoy your breakfast Gers
It's raining here. We've had some heavy rainfall lately and the river/stream down the steps across the road is now pretty full. We met an old man leaning over the little bridge watching it rush down over the rocks the other day- he said it was very therapeutic to watch and listen after hardly any water over the summer
We had a good trip yesterday watching the boys football tournament - not much delay on the motorway going and just a bit coming back. We thought our plans were scuppered though when we set off. Halfway to DS2s there seemed to be a bit of a backlog at the lights, & 2 cars had collided, the police had just arrived. Luckily no-one seemed hurt, and we got through after 10 mins. The beef casserole was soon ready to heat up (and eaten), glad I made it ready. I'll have to dig something out for today.Glad your eye is doing well @remmie and your DM glasses have made such a difference @RedRuby1231.

Back, fed, watered and full. This PInn is rather faded, but the main things are good. Great bed, fab shower and unlimited breakfast buffet. Not that I have much, the workies were certainly taking full advantage of it in my stead. It's rainy and windy, not the best day. Yesterday the drive down was glorious.I've got a hospital appointment shortly. The main A83 over the Rest is totally closed to allow the removal of a huge and teetering boulder so the diversion adds over 35 miles to the journey. Easier to come down yesterday.Tonight I'm off to see Ross Noble. I've seen him before and found him very funny if a bit surreal. It'll be a good show.I hope that everyone is doing well. Keep warm and dry.9

Morning everyone
Very windy here though sunny...I have washing to go out but I'll leave it just now, it's meant to die down a bit later. The gardening men have just started cutting my grass, I thought the last one would have been the last...I expect this one will be.
I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa this morning, then go into town for my flu jab. I need to go and buy a piece of vinyl to go in my summer house too - I had a couple of pieces of carpet down I found when I had to empty the old shed, but vinyl is probably better in case any tiny mice manage to get in. I also need to wash the chair covers and store them indoors, they should fit under little ones' bed.
We had a lovely morning at the library yesterday listening to Halloween stories and doing crafts. one of the things they made was a Halloween lantern using a jam jar. We bought pasties and cake from Greggs for lunch and then spent a lovely afternoon reading her library books and playing some games. Little one was a bit disappointed she had no corn in her corn and beef pasty though !
She's back again tonight as we're going to Dynamic earth in Edinburgh tomorrow on the train....she's been before with DD but I haven't - she wants me to be scared in a room which is like, as she describes it 'a real live earth quake.'
Quite envious of your hotel breakfast Gers - I might get some bacon to have bacon rolls at lunchtime.
Glad to hear you're better Redruby.
Right I'd best get moving, so I'll wish you all a good day.10
