Yep, Royal Mail were recently fined 21 million pounds for failures etc, so not surprising really !
We know that none of this would happen if the system was better, more streamlined, more up to date, not relying on post or humans processing emails etc. Easily rectified if they improved their MCOL system, making it more like Popla
But currently people like yourself are stuck in the middle, causing unnecessary extra work for their call centre staff too
It is what it is, hence why you were given the simple advice, of send it again
The common phrase or saying is
Yours is not to reason why

They must be receiving less of these DQs back if they're now sending out letters in the post.
Previously the defences were just struck out with no warning.1
