General Form of Judgement or Order

Hello,

Below is my email to dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk regarding the failed "Directions Questionnaire" even though I have submitted it and received an automatic response.

Hello,

Today, the 21st of October 2025, I received by post the "General Form of Judgment or Order" stating that I failed to file the "Directions Questionnaire".

I am forwarding my email sent to dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk and the claimant's emails on September 14, 2025, where I filed the "Directions Questionnaire".

I attach a copy of "General Form of Judgment or Order".

Please advise.

Has anyone ever experienced the same situation? I'll call the Court of Northampton on 0300 123 1056 to see if they would be able to assist.

Moreover, it states in the letter that I have to reply within 7 days from 21st October 2025, when the letter was seven even though I only received it today by post. Not even one day before the term expires. Is this a normal procedure?

I have forwarded the first email with all the DQ, however, I'm uncertain why they state they haven't received it, when I received the automatic response.

Because of their negligence, can it go through as I failed to communicate?

No. This is only the bulk clearing centre anyway. The judge's junior at your local court won't be aware of any of this when they receive the file.

Not that it's likely to go to a judge anyway as it'll be discontinued.

Thanks for explaining, however my concern is that as it states in the letter "If the Defendant does not comply with this notice your defence/counterclaim will automatically be struck out without further order of the Court". Even though I sent them the DQ twice they might have struck it out as they did not receive it.

Your auto response emails are proof of receipt,  so the fact that they didn't process the email and N180 is their problem,  a problem that they brought upon themselves,  not your fault

But as ChirpyChicken says, Rectification is simply a matter of rinse and repeat , send it again,  to the correct DQ email address,  checking for the email auto response showing receipt

Then keep checking your MCOL claim history to check that it gets logged,  same as you would if waiting fir a cheque to clear in your bank account

Once it's logged,  then it's mediation,  see the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements

Called the court this morning. They have apologised and asked me to resend an email for the third time, this time including a screenshot of the automatic response. Moreover, I asked why I had only received the post letter a day before the deadline of submitting the form, and they advised that it was due to do with Royal Mail having problems.

Checked Mcol and only showing DQ of the claimant.
