Not parked wholly within a marked bay - Parking charge issued Vue Hartlepool (6.7m Transit van)

a van of which i am the registered keeper visited the Vue Cinema Hartlepool on the for a morning viewing (around 10am) it was parked in a virtually empty car park. It is an L4 transit van that is 6.7m long.
I received in the post a Parking charge, reason for issue 'not parked wholly within a marked bay'
As picture shows the van is longer than their parking bays by quite a margin.
The car park is free for up to 5 hours, there is no indication that the van exceeded the time and was parked within the white lines down the side. It shows there is a foot or so more at the front of the van but it really would not have made any difference.
The parking notice sign states: all vehicles must be parked wholly within the confines of a single marked parking bay though it makes no reference to vehicles that are not allowed to park.
I have spoken to Vue customer services but they have simply directed me to appeal to the parking crooks Viking Solutions uk ltd via their appeals system.
The charge is £100

Unless the NTK was defective?0
