Crypto

Have read a few comments on here and TrustPilot about the £200 investment in Crypto and GCW Management Ltd.  Regrettably my experience is like so many others and my link to a so called Financial Advise was obtained through this website which I know now was AI generated, so no disrespect to you all.
I had no reason not to doubt this man and trusted him but it soon became apparent that he was not all he said he was, he even used the identity of a gentleman registered with FCA. Like others I was encourage to open accounts with Revolut, Kraken and Crypto and take out a loan with mbna for £20k which has now disappeared.  The stress it causes is phenomenal and eats into every day in the form of research, emails and phone calls. But those that have been scammed will know exactly how this feels. The most annoying thing is I cannot believe I was stupid enough to get caught but these guys certainly know their stuff and are very convincing.

Did MBNA not ask you what the loan was for? If you said 'Investing in Crypto' I'm very surprised they gave you any money.

Sounds the same as the scam discussed on the BBC Scam Secrets podcast - Investment Scam: The Crypto Coach ...

Aside from the crypto episode, I found the whole series interesting, I listened over the last few weeks during a boring commute.

I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. I had a close call with a similar setup, so I get it. These scam “advisors” are insanely convincing, and the fake FCA identities make it feel legit until it’s too late. You’re definitely not stupid — they’re pros at manipulating trust.
When I looked into it afterward, sites like Devere Group reviews had warnings from others who went through the same thing. Seeing that made me feel less alone. I hope you can get support from your bank or Action Fraud. You can recover from this.
