Hello,
My DRO ended in July and all my creditors have marked my credit file as settled and the balance is showing as zero apart from one.
My DRO ended in July and all my creditors have marked my credit file as settled and the balance is showing as zero apart from one.
PayPal credit are refusing to mark the file as settled and change the balance to zero. They’re reporting the balance each month to my credit files.
PayPal was included in my DRO but it’s still showing as active and the balance is what it was at the start of the DRO.
The default date is showing as 2022 so 2 years before my DRO date and they said this is all they have to do.
Is this correct? Is there anything I can do about this?
I’ve tired looking for a template to send to them but haven’t been successful so have been dealing with this via phone call.

P.S I originally posted this on the wrong thread and I didn’t know how to move it so edited it and re posted in what I hope is the correct place.

Yes I closed your other thread for you.
Basic steps to take, send a written complaint, email is acceptable to PayPal, allow them the statutory 8 weeks to look into things, and then escalate to the ICO if they refuse to budge.
The date of default must precede the DRO, which it does, but the balance should show as zero and settled.
Honestly it will still drop off your file after 6 years, does the balance showing matter all that much?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. No I suppose it showing doesn’t really matter. I thought if they’re still reporting each month then it won’t drop off after 6 years as it’s showing as active even with a default date.I just wanted to start clearing it all up.0

They have a legal obligation to -Write off the debt and set the balance to 0.Update your credit file with the new balance and mark the account as settled or satisfied.Ensure the default date is either before or matches the date of the DRO approval. As said above, file a complaint.0
