Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's not a bad morning here, brightish.
Nothing much going on today, just the usual stuff.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day. Take care folks.9 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. We look to have had a wet night but it's forecast to be fine for the rest of the day. Plus a bit warmer as we are set to reach double figures - 10 deg - this afternoon.
The weekend has been mostly spent in the land of sloth so today I must do better and tackle some of the neglected jobs waiting in the wings. I'm getting too good at turning a blind eye on them. Watch this space on that!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care whatever you are up to xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning allLooking to be a bit blustery today but maybe a couple of degrees warmer than yesterday. There was a very cold wind yesterday and had the heating on for the longest period so far.Off out to the big shopping centre today to see if I can get any ideas on what else to get DH for his birthday this week. He's already asked for a 'car diagnostic tool' which I've already got for him. Trouble is there really isn't anything he needs or wants. I think I'll end up getting him something from the lovely chocolate shop that's there.Hope everyone has a good day x7

Morning all
Dry here and nice and light this morning I’m not too keen on the darker evenings though.
Back to work for me today and this morning I’m with mum she has a Drs appointment and then onto the opticians to collect her new glasses then I will take her home and do a few jobs there and then leave there just after lunch to go to my new person for a couple of hours, I start officially with them in mid Nov but they wanted me to pop in as and when I can to maintain the relationship, I’m not sure what I can do after today due to work commitments but I will have to see, it’s not too long to wait if I can’t.
The beef casserole was delicious and there is enough left for another meal for next week. Dinner tonight will be pie and mash with some veg.
I have put a wash on this morning and will hang it out before I go to work.
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
After the very noisy night the morning is clear, bright and still. And cold!My day yesterday was in the same vein as @TA's, I took a big bag of rubbish to the dump and then not much else. I'm still eating up the roasted chicken, some will have to be stuck in the freezer.Today I've got a packet to send back via the RM delivery office, then the exercise class and finally I'm off to Glasgow for two nights. One for a hospital appointment and one for the Ross Noble gig. No bus this time so the car is fuelled up and ready, bag packed and I'm just having a coffee before any major moving.Happy that you're feeling better @Ruby - hope the new person works out for you. Take care all.6

Morning everyone just a quick one I’m meeting my friend for a coffee and a catch up but I need to pop hubby’s prescription in on the way there it’s bright but cold although we had a wet and windy night . I need to go and get bread and a couple of other things when I get back and I will be making a couple of shepherds pies for the freezer . We lit the log burner yesterday I forgot about the little dog it was non stop lying in front of the fire then coming over to us and panting because she’s to hot then back to the fire it goes on all day don’t come here if you want peace and quiet. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing6

Good morning all
Windy and drizzling here. I've been Mia because theres not been much to report. I've been taking it easy while my eye recovers from surgery, but today's the day I return to the opticians for a check up and then an appointment will be made for the other eye. I must say I'm very pleased with the result of this eye. While out I'll have a mooch around the CS nearby.
DDs funeral for her MiL is on Friday, so hopefully the madness that is her SiL will calm down then. Some of the demands she has been making are unbelievable , although her one saving grace is that she asked DD to choose one of the hymns, and DD chose Amazing Grace as that was played at my DFathers funeral.
No idea what's for tea, may pick something up while I'm out.
Have a good day everyone, take care.5 -
Morning All
The sun is shining after a drizzly day yesterday and a blustery night. I don't have enough washing to make a load so will leave that until tomorrow.
It was lovely to see DD and family yesterday for an hour or so, they made rolls and potato scones, the little one ate 2 and I managed a dry roll! Didn't do anything else for the rest of the day - that extra hour made it a very long day indeed.
I think a friend is coming to visit this afternoon so will rest up until then.
Glad you're feeling better and enjoyed your casserole Ruby.
Enjoy your trip to the big city Gers.
Hope your shoulder is improving WL.
We had a whippet like that Izzy, he got thinner the more dehydrated he was!
Take care. XX1 -
Morning all. thanks Gers. I thought we were meant to have a better day today , but the wind woke me at 5am and I didn't get back to sleep. I took LDog out early, we had a nice chat with 2 other petmums and their dogs on the park. We are going with DS2 and DGS down the motorway at lunchtime to a football tournament/match not sure which
it's with his Monday night coaching group so he's excited about that. I made a beef casserole yesterday so we just need to heat it up when we get in.Glad you're feeling better RRuby.Sounds tiring AAllie but glad it went ok yesterday.I've been busy making my Xmascards, but made 3 birthday cards yesterday for Nov. birthdays. I have so much card, fancy paper, stamps , ink, die cutting stuff, and I had to go to hobby/craft for some more glue
I Had a quick look round but nothing tempted me.On the same retail park a new food warehouse has opened, part of the Ice land group, we stocked up on a bit of frozen stuff.Right better get organised for our trip later, hope you all have a nice day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
