Bailiffs & New Vehicle

Hi all, I have a question about bailiffs. I had a bailiff visit for a few old parking fines that I have ongoing disputes but the council/local authority seems to be in limbo; they've instructed bailiffs but when I contact the LA to remind them that there should be a hold on any enforcement they tell me that they can't deal with me because its in the hands of the bailiffs... so we go round and round, and round... I was safe though because the vehicle was hired so doesnt belong to me so they can't clamp/remove it.
A few weeks ago I bought a new car in my name. Im worried that any enforcement agents/bailiffs might subscribe to the DVLA database and be alerted he fact that I'm travelling around in a car that I own and come looking for me.
Tks for any advice.

For bailiffs to be involved your case will have already gone through the courts at least once giving you ample opportunity to dispute and defend.
What dispute/defence do you have that you haven’t already used ?
Have you applied for the case to be set aside and for what reason ?
Unless you act then there is a fair chance your car will be seized at some stage (depends on the amount they are trying to collect on how persistent they are)3 -
You will be best served in dealing with bailiffs/enforcement agents by making contact with 'Bailiff Advice Online'. Sheila, who provides this service, has an extremely good reputation for assisting people with bailiff issues.Calls and the email enquiry service are free. Here's your link:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi all, thanks for the replies. I got a letter from the bailiff telling me they will be attending but with no PCN number or details that I recognise, will follow advice above.
My question was whether enforcement agents cross reference DVLA information about who vehicles are registered to with their databases and, should I drive past an ANPR vehicle, will it flag up my new car as belonging to someone who theyre pursuing?
I'm not worried about them visiting my home as I live in an apartment building with gated off-street private parking that they have no access to.0 -
The dvla database can't be searched in the way you describe. The reg number they know about will be the old lease vehicle so we recommend parking your present car away from your property, ideally on private land, keeping your external doors locked, and not engaging with the bailiffs when they attend
They can only apply an enforcement fee for one visit even if they have multiple pcns but can charge one compliance fee per ticket, and have probably already done that.
Eventually they will return it to the council and you should be able to continue discussions.
You should note that this board is not for council PCNs and we are not experts. You may get better help on
