Morning folks and thanks GERS. I am in total agreement about the clock change. I find the autumn going back one the worst though. I have been tossing and turning since an even sillier o'clock this morning, waiting for a sensible time to get up. Grr! But when I did I was welcomed by another starry starry sky. So lovely to look at.
It will be a Sunday of same old, same old I expect. I need to change the bedding when I can make the effort and get that in the wm. It won't be dried outside sadly as we have light rain forecast late morning. Lunch is already prepped, ready and waiting to go. Then a slothful afternoon.
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. SNOOZER I forgot to say your reading corner looks lovely. Take care all, stay warm xx

Good morning everyone.
Just had my first cuppa, I’m not planning on doing much today apart from doing the ironing. As a family we have a few difficult days which has had a knock effect and have left me feeling exhausted so I’m having a lazy weekend and then I’ll do everything that needs to be done tomorrow as it’s not going anywhere.
Hope everyone has a great day xxTrying to change my life and will:money:12 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers I'm another one who doesn't like the clock changing. Plus I'm getting too old to stand on the kitchen worktop to reach clock. Probably safer just to leave it and take off the hour, it'll show the right time for six months of the year.
Lovely and sunny so I might take a bus ride, should do some housework but cba
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.11 -
Morning allBreakfast in front of Match of the Day on TV. I was expecting to wake up at 4.30am because of the clock change but didn't wake until 5.30am so that was a nice surprise. Sorry that others weren't so lucky xNot going to rain here until late afternoon apparently so my washing should dry when I put it out later.Sausage and mash for dinner and I think I have some yorkshires in the freezer so will have those too.Hope everyone has a good day x10

Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's a lovely bright morning but cold. Yesterday the wind was enough to cut youi in half, so cold.
T A, sorry you've had a bad night, I sympathise. Yesterday I fell asleep on the sofa, dh was sitting beside me. I dreamed that he'd been stopped when driving and breathalysed - I sort of woke up and turned to him asking what had happened about it! Of course he didn't know what I was talking about! I quickly came fully awake, and explained so we had a laugh . He hasn't driven for over 6 months because of his health problems, and in 60 years of driving never been stopped and breathalysed! Weird or what!
Nothing much happening today, might go out for a walk. I've given in and got a pair of gloves out.
Thinking of our poorly people and those who are sad and having a bad time.
Take care folks.9 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, the clock change is very confusing although the only clock I have to change is the big kitchen one which I've done and gave it a good clean whilst I was at it.
The weather is quite gloomy this morning with rain forecast, glad I got all the washing dried outside yesterday - all put away.
I collected my Argos order yesterday and bought the firelighters then my day was done, had a couple of naps on the sofa and caught up with some TV, I've become so slothful!
Bathrooms cleaned this morning and the fire emptied ready for lighting this afternoon, I have the heating on at the moment as it was really chilly when I got up.
DD and family coming for brunch this morning - bringing all they need as I have absolutely no interest in food so they can cook what they want. It'll be good to see them, I've been missing the little one. DD and her OH are going to put the photos back in the loft that have been lurking for a good few weeks before they go off to visit the in laws.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX8 -
Morning all. Bright and sunny here today but probably cold outside.
We actually changed the clocks before we went out last night but still have to do the car ones. I tell myself it's only for two months and then the days will start to get longer.
@Coxy11: yes, it's an over use issue due to too much melodeon playing! Mind you, I've found that ibuprofen helps a lot but had better knuckle down and do the exercises.
Super night out last night at a Morris Ale in Bedford; lots of dancing, playing, eating, drinking and meeting up with people I only see occasionally. Today will be more mundane and involve housework!
Happy Sunday everyone.9 -
Morning again - thanks @WL for the two month thing, it instantly made me feel 50% better! I'll do a countdown. My long-suffering rose at the front door got a decent pruning yesterday. It was blown over again during the high winds the other week so was looking so bedraggled and sad so most of the stems are now gone. I've left one big one as it still has some (fading) rose flowers on and I couldn't bear to chop them down just yet.I'm pleased that i sloshed the stone slabs with algae cleaner stuff yesterday as it stayed dry, today is rainy. My laptop had a message saying 'raining off and on' as its weather forecast.
I collected the freshly laundered gilet, along with my lovely ironed sheets, and took it to the CS then I took away my black bag of rubbish to the dump. This morning I've been organising my wee bag for two nights away in Glasgow, ordered a couple of things from Marks to collect when down there and had two boiled eggs. All before coffee too which is annoying.@Camelot - I remember the lack of interest in food, you'll be ravenous once the op is over. Rest that hand a bit longer @WL. Funny dream @Scarlet, they do come up sometimes and cause confusion. The only clock I have to physically change is my living room wall clock which is low enough to reach without too much bother. In Newcastle I had one far too high up and did just leave it. I knew it was wrong so it didn't matter. I did my wristwatch last night as it's got a crown to turn and pop out and then reverse it. Mostly I can't do it but managed yesterday. I like wearing a watch so it's staying.I anticipate a quiet day apart from laying the fire. I was cold yesterday but CBA to fix the fire so wrapped myself in the heated throw instead.Hugs to all - keep warm and well.8 -
Morning all, thanks Gers- it's very cloudy here and had a spot of rain. Not been out with the dog yet but imminent. No DGS footie yesterday but we went to the match, DH came for the 1st time since his op and did well with the steps up to our seats. Met DB2, SiL and DNiece beforehand.A roast gammon joint for later, with the trimmings.Nothing much on the agenda today but I might cook some casserole beef too ready for tomorrow.Everyone is still coughing in our household, thought it might have gone by now. It felt chilly when I got up, I bet DH will be after lighting the fire later! I was talking about electric blankets/heated throws yesterday with my DN, she has one on her bed but I havent dug ours out yet but I'm sure it won't be long...Take care all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all from sunny but blooming cold Mehefinland
Another one here who hates the clock change - it's so unnecessary now in my opinion. The horses were most put out when I eventually clambered into the barn this morning, with a 'what time do you call this' look.. Soon perked up when fed and let out though.
Had toyed with going to the local deer park on an escorted walk around the estate as the rut is on and there are some spectacular views, but its so cold and quite honestly I can find better things to spend the money on atm. The venison was 20% off for participants after the walk but even that did not sway me this time.
need to get into the garden and attack some of the overgrowth before the green waste collections cease but everything is so wet after the last 48 hrs or so. It can wait for another day.
Edit to add - had my annual fight with the Rayburn, and I won first attempt. Yay - go me!!!
Stay warm and dry if you can, Hugs and spoons as always
