Bristol Airport no stopping- Notice of Dept recovery DCBL.

Hi guys, I’m sure this information is covered in the forum having a bit of trouble finding where to start so hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

My partner received a charge notice from VCS for stopping in a no stopping zone. Pulled over into a lay-by just after the barrier exit from the car park to change her sat nav as it froze as she was leaving. She actually thought she had paid the original fine as she didn’t want to challenge it, turns out the payment didn’t go through for some reason. She has received the final reminder and a debt recovery letter for £170 from dcbl as the letters went to her mother’s address as she’s recently moved. I’m going to challenge for her, could anyone advise the action I’d need to take or the thread where I can find this information please.
Thanks in advance.

First she needs to email DCBL, DCB Legal and VCS telling them all of her correct address.

Secondly she needs to wait for the court claim and you need to come back here for advice. VCS have been making a few lately for no-stopping zones but have been discontinuing them as they are absurd and judges don't like them.

    No paying.

Dpo@dcbltd.com is enough in these cases that have gone over to dcbl no need to contact the orginal parking firm
The above is assuming the final reminder is less then 28 days old

  • The final reminder is from the original parking firm VCS dated 29/09/25 with 14days so missed that. The letter from dcbl is dated 16/10/25 and gives 14 days to respond so we’re still within the window for them. So just to clarify the only thing I ned to do at them moment is email dcbl to provide them with her current address for correspondence?
