Hello again, as per the previous mentions my sec 75 claim was declined on the basis it was Ticketmaster who were simply a provider. Following discussions with my CC they said that no claim against Ticketmaster would ever succeed in any situation which I find strange. I have also spoke to NFL who advised that Ticketmaster were official partners and the only way to obtain tickets. My question is does this basically mean that there in recourse for refund in any situation you buy tickets.

I think it would have failed on almost any basis, as what you were asking for in your OP was absolutely bonkers.

You can't use section 75 when contracting via an intermediary agent (except perhaps if that agency failed to fulfil its own obligations), in that it doesn't cover breach of contract by the supplier because of the broken debtor-creditor-supplier chain required under the legislation.

No, it just means that you can't use S75 in situations where a 3rd party acted as an intermediary.

Doesn't rule out other means of recourse, and doesn't only apply to ticket sale.

Go back take the 50% voucher.
Any claim would be against the promotor (maybe), but they will just say APP has nothing to do with them.

You will never get travel & hotel costs back as you used them. At least you will have cheered the S75 team up & given them good laugh with your claim. 😜
