Sportsshoes.com not refunding in full

Just a heads up, and this may have been discussed before, but anyone ordering anything online from sportsshoes.com should be aware that they don't give you a full refund when cancelling and returning your order, they deduct your initial delivery charge which is against the terms of the CCRs.
They were more than happy to refund this back when I contacted them (although I'm waiting for this to come through) which suggests this is a cynical way of making money knowing that most customers probably wouldn't get back to them about it. Be aware.

You need to give more details... under the CCR they must refund the standard postage but dont have to refund the difference in price between standard postage and enhanced postage if you choose a faster delivery option and looking at their site they have many delivery options.shiraz99 said:Just a heads up, and this may have been discussed before, but anyone ordering anything online from sportsshoes.com should be aware that they don't give you a full refund when cancelling and returning your order, they deduct your initial delivery charge which is against the terms of the CCRs.

Also when are you returning it? They have a 100 day return period which is vastly longer than the CCR requires. If you are returning it after your CCR rights have expired they can do what they want about it because you are returning under their policy not your statutory rights.
Haven't read their returns policy in full but it appears they arrange the return, are you sure the deduction isnt for the cost of return? They are entitled to make you pay for the return postage under the CCR1 -
Items were returned the following day after delivery and this was the standard delivery charge, which was paid on top of the price of the item, they don't usually offer free delivery unless as a promotion. Also, this definitely isn't for return postage as this is something you have to pay up front separately when returning.MyRealNameToo said:

I had this with Cotton Traders.
When I drew their attention to their Termsand Conditions which stated the delivery cost would be refunded the reply I got was that the warehouse thought I hadn’t returned the whole order.
I ordered one item which I returned.1 -
Hmm, that's almost exactly what the person from Sportsshoes said to me. Sounds like a well rehearsed line to me. It does leave a bit of sour taste when companies knowingly behave like this.sheramber said:I had this with Cotton Traders.
