Morning again.
I've been up since ridiculous o' clock. I woke at 4am and got bored just lying there staring into the dark, so was up by 5am. Caffeine will be my friend today.
I haven't done anything useful though, partly because I don't want to make any noise, and partly because I would rather read the newspaper and drink coffee.
It's dry outside, as was yesterday, but there was a cold North wind. We went for our flu jabs, and I had a Covid as well. Dh had already had his Covid.
Nothing much going on today, there's some soft plastic to take to the recycle, and I might have a look round the chazzers.
A friend is coming round this evening and we'll put the world to rights and complain to each other about various relatives! Nothing serious though.
There still seem to be a lot of poorly people, hope you'll all feel better soon. It's miserable when you aren't well.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Thanks for the start @Scarlet.The Glasgow trip was successful. Teeth got jet-washed, loo rolls bought and order collected. I succumbed to a freshly roasted chicken too though driving 100 miles with the lovely smell of it was not too good. I wanted to stop and bite into it. 😂 My drive home was just glorious, bright sunshine, flat waters and not too much traffic.A couple of weeks ago I sent a friend a bouquet from Mar*s which was delivered to the wrong door. She did eventually get it from the neighbour but it was missing the gift message from me. As I hadn't heard back from her I asked yesterday. She'd tried to find out from the store who had sent the flowers but was told that it wasn't allowed because of data protection. 'Try ringing round your friends and family' she was told. Anyway, I phoned the company and was immediately offered either another bouquet or a refund. Great response from them. This morning I've only got a couple of chores then I'll be mainly resting after my 'exertions' yesterday. Hope that all are well. Special gentle squeeze for @snoozer.17

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Grr to the sleepless night. I woke up to another beautiful starry starry sky but that's gradually been eaten up by cloud which isn't forecast to disappear any time soon. It feels nippier too.
Yesterday's pre Friday Tidy was another half hearted affair and won't be resumed today as I have the dentists this morning. Nothing painful just a check up with fingers crossed that I won't need anything doing. Back in town I need to pick up my shipping order of meds from B**ts. There was something else as well but, for now, I can't remember what it is! It'll come back to me hopefully.
GERS well done on complaining, that was poor service. Have a lovely day if you can folks with ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning allLast day of dog sitting today but not going home until tomorrow as my DS and his partner won't get home until around 11pm tonight so off home first thing tomorrow morning. Will do a bit of housework this morning especially mopping the floors after all the muddy footprints from yesterday's rain. Weather is calm and dry today thank goodness although after all that wind yesterday there are plenty of leaves everywhere now. Must buy some cough medicine when I get home as this irritating cough/cattarh isn't going away on it's own as I thought it would.Hope everyone has a good day x14

Morning all
The weather yesterday was quite wild even though we were on the edge of the yellow warnings.
Taking Bdog for a hair cut first thing, I was supposed to be having mine cut too but the hairdresser is getting over a cold - can’t risk anything with DM and DD both being ‘vulnerable’, although I’ll be a huge shaggy mess by the time she is able to come 🙄😲
I have a craft fair this weekend - the ‘C’ word already!, so will see up my stall this afternoon - it’s worth it for a two day event as it makes tomorrow less stressful.Happy Friday all

Morning all, thanks Scarlet. The rain woke me at 6 so I've been trying to keep quiet, absolutely tipping it down.DGS and DGD have both been off school with lurgy, our coughs still haven't gone yet so sympathies to all suffering, must be a month since we started with it.DH came with me for a long walk through the woods and did well, he bought one of those long walking poles which helps on uneven ground. We met someone he used to deal with for work and had a good chat with him and his wife. I think it'll be a short dog walk this morning!.Hugs to the poorlies. Fish for tea tonight.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11

Morning all.
A brief visit from me as I'm trying to limit my time spent on the laptop.
My appointment yesterday with the physio (which I almost cancelled because I felt my arm was improving) showed that I've got a rotator cuff injury to my left shoulder, so anti inflammatories, heat pad and I've been sent some videos of exercises to do. Apparently age and repetitive use comes into it so I'll have to be careful!
We're off to Ikea later to stock up on a couple of things. Might have to put the heating on this weekend as it's definitely getting colder here in Bucks.
Hope everyone's day goes well.13 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. Sorry you had such an early start x
I now have shoes for the event tonight. They are 2” high and sparkly so I’m wearing them around the house today to get used to them (I live in slippers or flat pumps normally!). Will also scuff the soles on the doorstep!A bit of housework to do today as we plan to tidy the garden this weekend as it’s due to be fine.Sorry to hear about your injury @WickedLady4 is that because of your playing? Hope the physio helps x
Get well wishes to all our poorlies - so many of us under the weather. I had a better night and cold has virtually gone, just a bit nasal still but I can cope with that.Have a good day all

Morning everyone
We had some torrential rain yesterday and more is forecast for the weekend, with strong winds. Today is bright at the minute though rain forecast for later.
Little one was at the big hospital for lung function tests yesterday - she has chronic lung disease - and they were better than usual, so that's good. I don't think she's here until Sunday as I'm getting my hair cut and coloured tomorrow afternoon...not my favourite way to spend my time but it looks terrible!
I'm going down to work a bit earlier this morning as we're having a Halloween party...they'll all be hyper!
I might go over to my friends' for a cuppa after work.
Hope everyone has a good day today x
