Credit Report post IVA
Hi Everyone,
I completed my IVA at the start of the year and have been trying to clean up my credit file. I’ve hit a wall with Creation Finance/LaSer (Currys).
They’re refusing to mark my account as defaulted at the start of the IVA. Instead, they’ve been reporting missed payments ever since I entered the arrangement.
My IVA paperwork shows the agreed claim was “Agreed Nil Claim.” I’ve sent them my completion report, but they keep denying my request to fix the file.
The credit agencies told me to work directly with the creditor, but I’m getting nowhere.
Has anyone successfully dealt with Creation Finance/LaSer on a post-IVA credit file correction? What are the next best steps or formal actions I can take to finally get them to record a default date and stop these incorrect missed payment markers?
Any advice on how to handle this would be a huge help!
Thanks in advance.

I'd be asking citizens advice about that one, I have the same issue where I've completed an IVA in September and the creditors have registered defaults against me in the same month!!0

Step one, make a complaint to the creditor, tell them what is wrong, why its wrong, and what they should do to fix it.
This then gives them a statutory time limit to deal with your complaint.
Step two, If after receiving their final response you remain unhappy, you can escalate this to the FOS or in the case of incorrect data, the ICO.
FYI, the default date for debts included in an IVA should precede the start of the IVA, and be dated no later than the start date, so Creation are wrong in what they are doing.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
