Been quoted £200 to install e ESI ESRTP4RF. Labour quoted £120. When I told him I can provide the thermostat as I can buy it for approx £50 online. He still insisted its supply and install for £200. I do not really like him but do not seem to have any other option as he seems to be the cheapest. He also serviced my valiant protec boiler and when I ask for the certificate, he said it will be sent by email. The EA recommended him.

    Personally I cannot imagine using someone once you have got to that point.

    Can you not get a recommendation from friends or family?

    £80 for that thermostat is not a bad price, as he also has to deal with it if it becomes faulty.
